Poured the Footing Today

We poured the footing today and set the re-bar.  Next week the block mason comes in to begin building the foundation wall.

Commencement

Today we started construction on our home.... Foundation guys are laying out the footing. ,

The other photo is the back corner of our property. (i.e., I just turned around while standing in the same spot). You can see the garden on the right... a 100' row of blueberry bushes on the left, and behind them a 100' row of muscadine grapes on a trellis.... (for my future winery). Smiley face goes here.

Hilling Potatoes...

I have two 100' rows planted (that have to be hilled up).  This is my second hilling... and as you can see I am hilling them very high, which should provide more than enough at harvest time.

Red Snapper

Caught this Red Snapper early this morning on a rod/reel with live bait. Too bad I couldn't keep her.... not in season. Beautiful fish. Released within 2-3 minutes.

Newly Installed Garden

Planted my garden a few weeks ago.  Things are coming along nicely.  It's the early stages right now... but in 4-6 weeks it will look completely different as the plants begin to mature and grow large.
