This week we started filming testimonies, and receiving them via email, in preparation for our Signs of Life series. Listening to these stories has moved me deeply.
This reminds me and confirms that we must do more outreach and never slack up. Why? Because the focus is never about the person who left - it's about the person who is not in our church yet or who just arrived. The more time I spend obsessing, the less time I have for the new people who can't wait to be part of our vision and our church. Meeting two or three new people who are excited to begin a journey of faith makes up for a lot of pain. It's even better when they bring a fresh perspective to the table of what God can do in our church. It's downright encouraging!
