Personal Update

My blogging has slowed down a bit in the last couple of weeks.  I have been posting about every two-or-three days instead of every single day. This has been a better pace for me because it’s very demanding to post every something new every day.

I’ve also been very busy.  Work at PCC has been off-the-chart.  This summer was extremely full and the church calendar was all-consuming.  And right now we are making plans for the final four months of the year.

Church work at our level is insane.  Long gone are the days of 45 people and Sunday pot luck dinners.

I have recently changed my workout routine; now exercising twice a day, once in the morning and again in the evening.  Additionally, I have changed my eating habits by sticking to a strict eating plan.  I feel much better.  My energy level has gone way up.  I hope to lose some more weight.

The land clearing project is still in process.  The guys doing the work for me are doing a good job.  I can’t wait for them to get through so I can do the finish work of grading the land and planting grass seed.  This is a beautiful piece of property we have and hope to build on it.

I met Rob Hadding yesterday, pastor of Christ Church (formerly named Harmony Ridge Baptist Church).  Very nice guy.  We happened to be in the same room together, at a ministers meeting of area churches, when he walked over to my table and introduced himself.  I was able to introduce him to our church staff, Renae, Gene, and Denise.  We all had a pleasant chat.  Rob suggested that he and I get together sometime soon for lunch.  I think I would enjoy that.

I’ll be performing an outdoor wedding tomorrow evening.  But with 20 inches of rain in the forecast due to the tropical storm, my guess is we’ll be moving inside.  The rehearsal is tonight.

This storm is going to be a big rain maker for our area.  It might even flood our church grounds on Sunday.  We need the rain, but I just wish it would come on Monday.
