Hold the Phone.... Murphy is Calling

Last Thursday we got some really bad news (personal in nature).

Last Friday just before we knocked off work we got some more really bad news (work related).

Saturday we held our breath all day long. Nothing bad happened.

Sunday we did church. But then Sunday night we got more bad news (personal and work related combined).

So Monday morning (yesterday) Renae and I decide to take a day off work for a day trip out of town to escape for a day and enjoy a change of scenery. Take some pictures. Stuff like that. On our way home from Tallahassee we get a phone call (blasted cell phones) with more bad news. I mean, extremely bad news. This begins to ruin our day. Then about that time her car breaks down. We coast to the edge of the road. Now we are stranded on the side of the interstate somewhere between Chipley and Mariana. We sit there for two hours waiting for a tow truck to arrive. It gets dark. It’s dangerous. Finally the tow truck arrives and loads up her vehicle on the flatbed. We get in the truck with the driver for a two hour drive back to Pace. Renae sits in the middle between me and Bubba. Brave girl. Four hundred dollars later we got home last night about 8:30 PM. Guess I’ll call the auto mechanic this morning to see how much the car repair is going to cost.

If you planning a trip to the Casino any time soon, don’t invite me along. I’m on a losing streak.

Just call me Pastor D. Zastor

Pastor Ron, I just think the DEVIL is really upset with you and the good works you are doing and is trying to defeat you and your ministry. We will keep you and Renae in our prayers.

Thanks Ron!

I agree with Ron Bryant. You and Renae are called as a team in your marriage, and (remember the cord from my wedding?)...the devil hates that. Thank you for remaining steadfast, especially when it gets messy.

Ron,

You know that Lorraine and I are here for you and Renae any time you need us. We pray for you, Renae and your ministry daily. I once heard it said that when you are in the will of God the devil is always trying to defeat you, but when you sit back and do nothing the devil leaves you alone. Keep up the Godly work, we have your back.

Got my back. That's good to know Louie.

I'd like to thank everyone for the encouragement today... it means a lot to Renae and I knowing we have such a good church family to count on in times of need. You're the best.

Evangelist R.W. Schambach always said when the devil starts messing that's right before God is getting ready to Bless. So please Pastor Ronnie and Renae be encourage. I agree with Ron Bryant, Cheryl, Louie and Lorraine and others. The devil hates you both because you are winning a lot of soul to Jesus Christ and the devil knows his time is short therefore he is trying hard to take many to hell with him.The Psalmist David said many are the affliction of the righteous but God delivers him out of them all.

Just want you to know how much I appreciate ALL that you and Renae do to make our church the healing, refueling, nuturing, accepting, exciting place that it is. I know you know better than I but what gets us through these days is knowing that HE never lets go! :)

Just for the record, I suggested we draw straws to see who got to sit next to "Bubba" . . . but Ronnie pulled rank on me. :-)
